Why keep track of your documents?

Keep the checklists safe and follow through with us in your application process

Start Early

Begin collecting documents 3-6 months before application deadlines. NOC, police reports and TB tests take time.

Keep Copies

Make multiple copies of all original documents. Keep originals separate from copies you send.

Follow Requirements

Each university and country has specific requirements. We link the official sources for every country below.

Digital Backups

Scan all documents and keep digital copies in cloud storage for easy access.

General Document Checklist

Country checklists

The documents most Nepali students prepare, whatever the destination. Check the country checklist above for exact visa rules and amounts.

Required

Educational Transcripts & Mark Sheets

SEE, +2 (NEB) and bachelor's transcripts or mark sheets from every institution you attended.

  • Nepali board and university transcripts are issued in English — translation is rarely needed
  • Keep notarised copies; some universities want sealed transcripts sent by your university
  • Include the grading scale (GPA/percentage key) printed on the back
Required

Degree / Provisional Certificates

Completed degree, provisional certificate, character and migration certificates.

  • Use the provisional certificate if the final degree has not been issued yet
  • Your name must match your passport exactly — fix spelling differences early
Required

Statement of Purpose / Personal Statement

Your own essay on why this course, this university and your career plans.

  • Tailor it to each university and course — avoid templates
  • Explain study gaps honestly and back them up with documents
  • Keep it consistent with your visa answers (GS, CAS interview, DS-160)

Letters of Recommendation

Usually two letters from teachers or employers — common for master's programs.

  • Choose referees who know your work directly and can give specific examples
  • On letterhead with signature, date and the referee's official contact details
  • Many universities collect references online — share official emails
