Entry Requirements
To be eligible for a master’s degree programme at Tampere University, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a university outside Finland. The degree must entitle the applicant to pursue master's level studies in the country where the awarding institution is located. It should comprise a minimum of 180 ECTS credits, typically representing three to four years of full-time study, and must be in a field relevant to the chosen master’s programme. Additionally, the degree must be awarded by a recognized institution of higher education.

International Tuition Fees
At Tampere University, tuition fees apply to non-EU/EEA and non-Swiss citizens studying in English-taught bachelor’s or master’s programmes. However, students with certain residence permits in Finland—such as a permanent residence permit, EU Blue Card, or a residence permit based on temporary protection—may be exempt. A continuous residence permit (type A) may also exempt you, unless it or your family ties are based on studying. The exempting permit must be valid at the time of application and through the start of studies. Doctoral programmes do not charge tuition fees.
