Salaries are US averages and vary with experience, location and employer. Licensing requirements differ by country and specialisation — the US requires PE registration for some roles, the UK requires Chartered Engineer status.

If it is accredited — ABET, EUR-ACE or Engineers Australia — it generally is, and those accreditations are also what allow you to work towards professional registration in other countries. Verify accreditation before you accept an offer.

Germany, where public universities charge €0–€400 in tuition. Living costs and the €11,904 blocked account are the main expense there.

SAT or ACT for US undergraduate admission. The GRE is optional at most US engineering master's programmes now, and is rarely asked for elsewhere.

A degree structure, common in Canada, that alternates study terms with paid full-time work placements. It extends the degree but you graduate with real experience and considerably less debt.
