Entry Requirements
Applicants to Dublin City University (DCU) are assessed based on their academic performance in their school-leaving examinations. To be considered for admission, candidates must meet both the general entry requirements and any specific course requirements, which can be fulfilled through results from more than one sitting. However, for ranking and selection purposes, only the results from a single examination sitting will be considered. Admission is competitive, and applicants who meet the minimum requirements are ranked in order of merit based on their examination scores.
How to Apply
International applicants to Dublin City University must apply through the DCU Student Application Portal. Both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants should ensure that all required documents are submitted unprotected and before the deadline of July 1st. Each programme has specific entry requirements and deadlines, which are outlined on individual course pages. Late or incomplete applications may not be considered, so early submission is strongly advised.
International Tuition Fees
At Dublin City University, students are classified as EU or Non-EU for fee purposes based on their nationality and residency. This classification determines the tuition fee amount. To qualify for EU status, both the nationality and residency requirements must be met. Applicants holding conditional visas (e.g., Stamp 2) cannot count that time as EU residency. A review of fee status can only be requested after receiving a full offer and must be completed before registration. Fee status is based on self-declared information at the time of application, and changes can only be made if new, relevant documentation is provided before registration.
