Student visa requirements for Nepalese students to study in Australia

The type of visa you require depends on factors such as your age, the level and type of study you plan to undertake, and the length of your stay in Australia. As an international student, you will require a Student Visa (subclass 500), which has been the only visa option to study in Australia since July 2016. The Student Visa (subclass 500) will allow you to stay in Australia for the duration of your study program, as agreed by the Department of Home Affairs. The maximum length of study for the Student Visa (subclass 500) is usually 5 years plus any time to complete your program. Before applying for your visa, check to make sure that you have sufficient funds to cover tuition fees and living costs, and have obtained Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). You must make sure to keep your visa valid and comply with all visa conditions while you are in Australia.     • Education loan from Nabil Bank or SBI Bank (Nepal) covering:
      • 1 year of tuition fees
      • 1 year of living expenses (AUD 18,610)
      • Travel expenses (AUD 2,000)
  • Regular Stream:
    • Minimum 3 months old bank balance certificate and statement
    • Proof of income sources (e.g., salary, business, agriculture)
    • Property valuation report with legal supporting documents
    • Tax clearance certificate
    • Chartered Accountant (CA) report

A personal statement explaining your academic background, goals, reasons for choosing Australia, and your chosen institution.

 

If Applying with a Spouse

You must also provide evidence of a genuine and ongoing relationship, including:
